So what exactly is a Program Assistant?
A Program Assistant (PA) is typically a StarSkate skater who volunteers their time to support our Coaches in teaching and guiding our newest skaters. Program Assistants play an important role in creating a positive and welcoming learning environment by helping skaters find their groups, assisting with activities, completing assigned tasks, and encouraging younger skaters as they develop their skills on the ice.
Program Assistants must be 12 years old, be registered in a current Intermediate or Senior program and have completed at least 3 StarSkate assessments.
Program Assistants will receive volunteer hours that count towards their high school diploma.
A training session for Program Assistants will take place on Tuesday, September 15, 2026 from 6:25 pm - 7:15 pm!
