Every two years the Stouffville Skating Club runs a full production Ice Show where our skaters have the opportunity to perform in costume for the community. It features a mix of Senior solo's and group performances for all skaters that choose to participate.
The show features professional lighting and sound and wonderful opportunity for our skater to build confidence as they perform in public.
This is an extra program beyond the regular skating season, registration for Ice Show will open in November. Tentative schedule as follows.

Volunteer Support
The Ice Show is a very large production and requires significant volunteer support from parents and siblings to make this event a success. Some volunteer roles are needed in advance to plan to the ice show, however most support is needed during ice show production week to actually make the event a success.
Pre-show Volunteers work to organize the ice show in the fall and winter and are usually involved during production week as well.

By far the largest group of volunteers is the change room chaperones needed during production week rehearsals and shows to monitor skaters in the dressing rooms. For every rehearsal and show each skater group needs at least two parent volunteers to help marshal skaters in the change room and to the ice.
Refundable Volunteer Fee
At the last ice show in 2025, the club was significantly short of volunteers to help with the club operations and especially with the Ice Show. The entire event was organized by a very small number of board members.
To encourage sufficient volunteer participation in 2026-2027, the club has needed to implement a volunteer surcharge during program registration. This surcharge will be added once per family to your invoice during registration. It will be refunded in full once you volunteer with club.
For families with skaters in our Senior, Intermediate and Intro to Star program, the volunteer surcharge is $100.00 and will be refunded if you are able to volunteer for at least 8 hours with Club operations, with the Ice Show, or both.
For families with skaters only in our CanSkate or Pre-CanSkate programs, the volunteer surcharge is $50.00 and will be refunded if you are able to volunteer for at least 4 hours with Club operations, with the Ice Show, or both.
